The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences was established in the year 2023 with the introduction of D. Pharm., B. Pharm., and Ph.D. programs. Since their inception, all programs have been duly approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Mahayogi Gorakhnath University, Gorakhpur, is committed to excellence in pharmaceutical education, research, and innovation. It serves as a vibrant academic hub, nurturing future pharmacists, researchers, and healthcare professionals through a rigorous curriculum, modern infrastructure, and a student-centric learning environment.
The faculty is strengthened by a team of highly qualified and experienced academicians, each an expert in their respective domains of pharmaceutical sciences, including Nanotechnology, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Computer-Aided Drug Design, Formulation and Development of Drugs, Chemistry of Natural Products, and related areas. Faculty members possess impressive academic and research profiles, with numerous peer-reviewed research publications in reputed national and international journals, reflecting their significant contributions to the advancement of pharmaceutical knowledge. Several faculty members also hold patents, demonstrating the department’s strong commitment to innovation and translational research. organized on the occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti (Ayurveda Day), highlighting key developments and innovations in the field.
In addition to academic excellence, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences actively engages in high-quality research projects supported by competitive grants. The faculty has successfully secured funding from various government agencies, including the Council of Science & Technology, Uttar Pradesh (CSTUP), among others. These research grants enable the department to undertake cutting-edge investigations, promote student research, and contribute meaningful advancements to pharmaceutical sciences.

The faculty emphasizes collaboration over competition and has established several National Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to foster teaching-learning activities, research, faculty and student exchange programs, consultancy, and training initiatives. Recently, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, in collaboration with Shri Gorakshnath Medical College Hospital and Research Center, has been approved as a recognized center for Pharmacovigilance and Materiovigilance, reflecting its strong commitment to patient safety and quality monitoring.
